Unveiling the Relevance of 'Eyes on the Prize III': A Civil Rights Activist's Perspective

Phillip Agnew, co-founder of the Dream Defenders, is known for his activism following the death of Trayvon Martin in 2012 and his 2013 sit-in after George Zimmerman's acquittal. Agnew’s efforts were supported by civil rights figures such as Harry Belafonte and Julian Bond. His work, along with other contemporary activists, is featured in “Eyes on the Prize III: We Who Believe in Freedom Cannot Rest,” a follow-up to the iconic Civil Rights Movement documentary. The new series, covering the years 1977 to 2015, highlights ongoing struggles for justice and equality, and is available for streaming on Max.
